My name is James. I’m a WordPress and Genesis developer based in the north west of England, in Preston. I’ve been working with WordPress for a number of years, as I find it a great base for any web project I work on. LlamaPress is the home of my web development business, and also my blog. I started LlamaPress so that I could offer great quality WordPress and Genesis services to others, as well as building various WordPress-based products. LlamaPress has become more than just a ‘one-man band’, I now have a whole circle of industry related contacts, and we all regularly work together allowing us to extend our own services and increase our workload.
What can LlamaPress offer?
I build websites of all shapes and sizes on various different budgets. If you’re looking for a quick website on a budget, then I can use pre-existing solutions such as a premium Genesis theme (modified to your branding) to get your website live in a short amount of time, at a lower cost. I can also offer completely custom websites with a unique design, which would use a hand-crafted custom Genesis theme just for you.
I can develop sites ranging from simple one paged websites, through to much more complex applications such as eCommerce, directory or membership sites.
I also develop custom Genesis themes and plugins for businesses who don’t need a new site, just a new design or some additional functionality. In addition, I can also provide ongoing support for any theme or plugin I develop. I am also able to fully set up and implement any kind of theme or WordPress plugin, or WordPress itself.
I also offer 2 main website maintenance plans, basic and VIP. This helps give my clients peace of mind that their websites are safe and secure, allowing them to focus on the core of their business.
I offer a white label service to web design and marketing agencies, and I am willing to work under a non-disclosure agreement. This means you can hire me as a WordPress/Genesis developer and include the services I offer as part of your own business. This is perfect for smaller agencies who need a helping hand with the more technical side of things, but do not have the resources to take on additional staff.
Through my professional network, I am also able to offer a whole variety of additional services such as digital marketing, SEO, social media management, content/copywriting and much more. So if you are looking for something Internet or marketing related that I have not mentioned, please do get in touch as I’m sure I can help, if not myself then through my professional network.
Website accessibility has become very important to me. Helping to make the web feels great, I feel like I am doing my small part to help push the world forward by making my contributions to the Internet. However, making things for the web that are accessible feels like I’m really helping someone, or a community of people. I feel as though, as developers who care about accessibility, me and my colleagues are helping people use the best invention within the last 20 years, the Internet, where they may not otherwise have been able to. As you can probably tell, I take a lot of pride in making accessible things for the web, and whenever I can I always try to encourage other developers and website owners to do the same.
I try to network and get involved in the WordPress and Genesis community as much as I can. I often attend WordCamps, which is a great way to meet other WordPress folk and talk tech, plus they are also great fun. Not only that, but they also take me to some really great locations around the world, such as Seville and Vienna. Do you attend WordCamps? If so, let me know and perhaps we could meet up.
